MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD CHAIR

It is a pleasure to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Disabled Sports USA Far West. I also serve as a volunteer at the Adaptive Snowsports School at Alpine Meadows ski resort in North Lake Tahoe and I have seen firsthand how our programs bring fun, a feeling of achievement and the building of self-confidence to people with disabilities we serve.

Disabled Sports will soon be celebrating 40 years of success and have set ambitious goals for the future. These will be shaped by our continuous pursuit of excellence and our passion for our mission: To provide affordable inclusive physical and recreational activities for people with disabilities that build health and confidence. Together, the Board and Staff of Disabled Sports are working hard to strengthen and improve our programs and to broaden our base of support, ensuring 40 more years of service for people with disabilities.

I invite you to learn more about who we are and what we do and I also invite you to become a participant, donor, volunteer, or all of the above. You can make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities and help teach them what we already know: “If I Can Do This, I Can Do Anything!”^TM
