Jim Thweatt, Vice Chair
Owner, River City Physical Therapy
Physical Therapist. Former member of the U. S. Disabled Ski Team. Paralympic medical classifier. Adaptive ski instructor and ski race coach. Potential member of the U. S. Disabled Sailing Team. Advisor to Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Co-founder and past president of Disabled Sports USA of Southern California.
Robert Smith, Director/Secretary
Robert has been an avid skier for 40+ years. He was a National Ski Patrol member for five years, a ski instructor, and a ski school volunteer. He has organized and promoted ski fundraisers benefiting the local Multiple Sclerosis Society Chapter and has participated in ski marathons benefiting the National Ski Patrol. Past community activities include: board member of Aquarian Effort, United Way Citizen Review team member, SSPCA volunteer and Junior Achievement Project Business Consultant. He has been a Rotarian member since 1987.
Phelps Kip, M.D., Director/Treasurer
Spinal and Orthopaedic Surgeon, Sierra Regional Spine Institute
Phelps also serves as Team Physician at the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association in Murray, Utah. Fellowships include the Department of Orthopaedics at Baylor University, Houston, TX; Aspen Orthopaedic Associates in Aspen, CO; and Joint Implant Surgeons in Columbus, OH. Professional Memberships/Societies: American Medical Association; Washoe County Medical Society; and Nevada State Medical Society. He is a published author.
Bob Richards, Director
Eagle Peak Asset Management, LLC
Mr. Richards is the co-founder and principal of Eagle Peak Asset Management, LLC. He graduated with high honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a BA in Business Economics with an emphasis in accounting. He received a Chartered Financial Analyst (“CFA”) designation in 2003 and is a current member of the CFA Institute. Mr. Richards is currently a guest lecturer at the University of Nevada, Reno, speaking to undergraduate and MBA classes. He is an Eagle Scout and lives in Truckee, CA with his wife and son.
Lucinda (Cindy) Ehnes, Director
President and CEO, CA Children’s Hospital Association
Cindy is an attorney with 25 years of legal experience, and is the author of The Prentice Hall ADA Compliance Advisor, one of two books she has written on the rights of persons with disabilities. Cindy is a graduate of George Washington University and Catholic University Law School. Her interest in disability and patient rights came from her experience becoming an amputee as a young woman. A member of the United States Disabled Ski Team from 1974 - 1980, she won a total of seven Gold medals in international competition. Cindy's family includes daughters Lacey (23) and Amy (21) and husband Jack.
Alene Antelman-Aldrich, Director
Certified Physician Assistant. Ms. Aldrich has 30+ years in the medical field. She graduated from UC Davis PA/
FNP Program in 1991 and completed her Postgraduate Surgical Residency Program at Geisinger Medical Center,
Danville, Pennsylvania in 1992. She is a former board member of the American Heart Association. Her personal
interests include running, biking, swimming, hiking and snowsports. She is a Disabled Sports lesson assistant and
working on becoming a ski instructor.
George L. Woolsey, Director
Senior Vice President, Wells Fargo
Mr. Woolsey has over 30 years experience in commercial and corporate banking. He has held executive positions
at Wells Fargo and First National Bank of Chicago. He served eight years active duty in the U.S. Army, attaining
rank of Captain. Military Occupational Specialties included Turkish language interpreter, helicopter pilot and small
armored cavalry unit commander. Assignments included two combat tours in Cambodia/Vietnam, in addition to one
tour in Germany as an Infantry Company Commander.
