The week starts with a Wounded Warrior Ability Camp for 25 soldiers and marines disabled in Iraq and Afghanistan. They receive specialized instruction in adapted alpine skiing and snowboarding at the Disabled Sports Program Center at Alpine Meadows. They are also introduced to other winter recreation as part of their therapy and re-integration into the community including snowmobiling and sledge hockey.
