SUMMER SPORTS

Adaptive Road Cycling

This summer, experience the best in adaptive cycling suited to novice through advanced riders.

Disabled Sports USA Far West operates a number of adaptive cycling events on a near weekly basis each summer. Our summer schedule includes beginner/introductory events which are perfect for first timers or if you’re looking to buy an adaptive cycle and need to sample what’s on the market. Our Northern California/Nevada Ride Series was developed with strong intermediate/advanced riders in mind. Adaptive athletes have 4 opportunities to ride in 4 different locations with other experienced riders.

Our adaptive riding program provides events and rides for all levels of ability and recreational preferences. Our introductory events are best suited to novice riders who are brand new to adaptive cycling, or for more experienced riders interested in sampling new adaptive cycles. Our Intermediate/Advanced rides are intended for adaptive athletes who are experienced cyclists and want to ride in new places with their riding buddies or meet new riders.

We can easily accommodate paraplegics, hemiplegics, and quadriplegics alike. People with visual impairments can safely ride our tandem cycles and those with impaired balance and coordination, but ambulatory lower extremities can enjoy our recumbent trikes.
