SUMMER SPORTSWhitewater Rafting: Disabled Sports is proud to provide people with disabilities the opportunity to safely whitewater raft down the South Fork of the American River, California’s most popular commercially rafted river. Our adaptive whitewater raft trips are open to people with physical, cognitive and developmental disabilities and are open to anyone who can pass a basic float test with a lifejacket on. Our experienced adaptive whitewater guides have run this river hundreds of times. Disabled Sports is proud to take paraplegics, quadraplegics, hemiplegics as well as those with visual impairments and cognitive and developmental disabilities down the river. For those with a real sense of adventure, join us on the famous Chili Bar or Gorge Runs for exciting class II/III+ rapids including one’s with names like: meatgrinder, troublemaker, Satan’s Cesspool, Bouncing Rock, Hospital Bar, Surprise, First Threat & many more!
