WINTER SPORTS

Adaptive snowsports instruction is our major winter sporting activity.
We are open daily from December 19, 2008 through April 11, 2009 providing ski and snowboard lessons to students of all abilities.
The minimum age requirement is 5 years. For equipment and skier safety, Sit-down skiers must weight 185 pounds or less. Click here for more
information about adaptive equipment and teaching methods.

Professional Ski Instructors of AmericaWe are a PSIA Member Ski School (Professional Ski Instructors of America). Our PSIA certified instructors and trained volunteers make skiing or snowboarding possible for anyone with physical, cognitive or developmental disabilities.

The Disabled Sports Program Center is located at Alpine Meadows Resort in the North Lake Tahoe area of Northern California.

Reservations are required and are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
We suggest calling two to four weeks in advance to reserve the dates you desire.

Payments and Cancellations
We require full payment in advance to guarantee your reservation.
Payments are non-refundable. When you make your reservation, consider the possibility that the mountains may receive heavy snowfall the day you plan to ski and chains may be required on the roads you are traveling. If notice of cancellation is received by 12-noon the day before your lesson, a credit will be issued which can be used towards another lesson. Cancellations made after 12-noon the day before your lesson will not receive a refund or credit.

Special Winter Considerations
When making reservations for ski and snowboard lessons, remember the mountains may receive heavy snowfall the day of your lesson. The fact that it is snowing or chains are required does not warrant a credit or refund for a canceled lesson. Contact us for more information about our programs. Ph: 530-581-4161

Katherine Hayes Rodriguez Scholarship Fund
For participants with extreme financial needs, our Katherine Hayes Rodriguez Scholarship Fund will cover the cost of participation. This Katherine Hayes Rodriguez Scholarship Fund is maintained by donations from service clubs, businesses and private individuals.  Click here for more information about scholarships.
